In a society that constantly tells us to “look inward to find your truest self” and “follow your heart” as a means for ultimate fulfillment, we are discovering that those things don’t lead us to any sort of joy. There has been an age-old reality to the way we discover who God made us and how that should affect the way we see ourselves and interact with the world. There is also a way that we are to understand how mental health, spiritual health, and emotional health is supposed to connect to this.
